Welcome to Westwood's Senior Adult Ministry!

Old-Time Southern Gospel Singing

All Senior Adults are invited to meet on the first Sunday afternoon of each month for an Old-Time Southern Gospel Singing.  We meet at 5:00 p.m. in the Shepherd's Chapel.  Each person is encouraged to request a song that is special to them.  Sandra Fore plays the piano and you are sure to enjoy her style of playing.   

Monthly Meetings

We will be meeting each Tuesday in the Music Suite.  We encourage all of our Senior Adults to get involved in our regular activities.  The fellowship is warm and the guests present very worthwhile programs.  Our monthly luncheon is held on the second Tuesday of each month.   Future program guests include: The Alliance Band with Neal Justice; the Ladies Choral Group from Alabama School of Fine Arts; and Fred Hunter from Fox 6. If you are interested in attending any of our meetings or programs, please contact Katye Thomas at tom2712@bellsouth.net for more information.

SilverSneakers© Exercise Class

SilverSneakers© offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially-oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health.  It is a proven, results-oriented program.  We meet in the Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 - 9:15 a.m.  The Preferred Qualifications are:  Healthspring Insurance and/or Seniors First.  However, members of Westwood Baptist Church who do not meet these qualifications can join if space is available.
